How often do we look at people but not really see them. This book re-opened my eyes to the silent cries of people around us. At times i cringed at the actions in the book and what the girl had to go through, to endure day after day. Elizabeth Scott could not have picked a better title to capture the nature of sexual abuse and how it tears us apart from the inside.
I found the writing at the start hard to follow, but as I went on I got use to it and even liked it. I did find it very clever how in the very first chapter she writes as if the reader is an outsider but part of the story all at the same time. I think this book would make a very good lesson to young girls about how tricky predators can be.
